Bowie BJJ Mixed
Martial Arts
Our mission is to promote the grappling and striking arts in a non-violent
fashion, focusing on self defense for trainees of all ages and genders.
Our Coaches
Coaches Carlos Catania, BJJ Black Belt, and Charles Cherry, Judo Black
Belt & BJJ Brown Belt, believe in maintaining a friendly, healthy
and respectful attitude on the mat, which provides the ambiance necessary
to produce skilled athletes and boost self-confidence.
Our goal
To create complete, well-rounded students and competitors who will excel
in all areas of the arts and take the game to a higher level whether it
be for fitness, self defense or training competitively.
You should judge the
teacher by the success of the student. Our students have won many tournament
medals and amateur/pro MMA fights. Also, Carlos Catania's student, Anthony
Argyros, was recently awarded NAGA's "Grappler of the Decade"
title for 2000-2009 and has over 90 first-place wins. What does he say
about Carlos?
"He's the best".
Congrats to Bowie MMA's Marcus Daniels on his professional MMA knockout on November 19th at One World Pro Fights in Washington DC.
On 11/10/2011 Darnell Murphy defended his Onslaught Fights 155 lb title. Darnell looked well on his way to success before catching a vicious knee to the jaw at the end of the 2d round. He made all of us at Bowie MMA extremely proud to have him as a team member. We look forward to his speedy recovery and return to training.
