Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (Ages 14+)
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) is a self-defense martial arts, and combat sport based on grappling and submission holds. It focuses on the skill of taking an opponent to the ground, controlling the opponent, gaining a dominant position and using a number of techniques for submission by either joint locks or chokeholds.
BJJ revolves around the concept that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend themselves against a bigger, stronger, heavier opponent by using leverage and using a number of holds and submissions to defeat them. BJJ training can be used for sport grappling and in self-defense.
Our expert BJJ instructor tailors each lesson so that you can be sure to achieve any goal you set for yourself. Our curriculum is designed to help you increase your flexibility and core strength while learning the most effective self-defense techniques.

Kids Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (Ages 5-13)
Our Kids Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) classes consist primarily of the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. However, we teach techniques from other disciplines to include Judo, wrestling, and occasionally boxing for a complete kids self-defense system. BJJ is a self-defense martial art and combat sport based on grappling and submission holds. It focuses on the skill of taking an opponent to the ground, controlling the opponent, gaining a dominant position and using a number of techniques for submission by either joint locks or chokeholds.

BJJ training can be used for sport grappling and in self-defense situations.
Thai Kickboxing (Adult BJJ students)
Thai Kickboxing is designed for the true beginner student, use of proper technique is always emphasized in Bellicose's Kickboxing and Boxing program.
New students will immediately notice the camaraderie and relationships formed while they have fun surpassing their goals and learning the most effective striking techniques in the world.
Our program is based on Thai Boxing the national sport of Thailand, however, Bellicose's Thai Kickboxing program is practical self-defense due to our incorporating boxing and American Kickboxing.

Beginners start any time. Students do not have to fight or spar.
Who can join? Attendance in this class is by invitation only. This class is available to all Brazilian Jiu Jitsu students blue belt or above. For consideration outside of that parameter, see Professor Charles for approval.

Body Fit Boot Camp (Ages 16+)
Body Fit Boot Camp is a 30-minute circuit training class that mixes calisthenics, body weight exercises, cardio and weight training to improve muscular strength and cardiovascular fitness.
Body Fit Boot Camp is designed to improve your overall strength - strengthen and tone your entire body. This type of training yields big results and will change your body!

Self-Defense (Ages 13+)
Our empowering self-defense courses are designed to enable you to succeed with any sized opponent, gain self-esteem and confidence in your skills, and learn to always stay in the fight.
Our self-defense system incorporates practical skills from Boxing, Muay Thai, Wrestling, Judo, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. The skills obtained from combat sports can apply to self-defense; however, we acknowledge that there is a different mindset when there are no rules, no referees, and loss of life or severe injury is at stake. At the advanced level, weapons handling and weapons retention skills are included.
Our self-defense courses combine situational awareness, de-escalation, risk assessment, and risk mitigation strategies, taught to federal law enforcement officers in the United States. Our goal is to equip you with tools to use on your tool belt for your unique situations, skills, and abilities. We do not believe in teaching unrealistic self-defense scenarios that instill false confidence.

Our self-defense system will continue evolving to meet the challenges of the real dangers we encounter in our environments.
After School Martial Arts Program (Ages 5-12)
A fun and safe after school alternative to daycare!
Our After School Martial Arts Program is a constructive alternative to after school care for children who are interested in martial arts, developing leadership and sportsmanship skills, and getting into shape through physical conditioning.
Our program has become very popular over the last few years, so space can quickly become limited. We offer a waitlist option and evening programs that may accommodate your schedule in lieu of our After School Martial Arts program.
Kids Summer Camp Martial Arts Program (Ages 5-10)
While you're at work all day, Bellicose Martial Arts would like to offer peace of mind knowing that your child is safe, happy, and having a fantastic summer.
We hope to assist your child with learning valuable life skills, while staying physically active, and making new friends at Bellicose Martial Arts Summer Camp!

Women's Self-Defense Seminar (Ages 13+)
Bellicose Martial Arts is excited to announce a three-part series of Women's Self-Defense Seminar taught by Professor Charles Cherry.
Professor Charles Cherry has over 40 years experience in various martial arts. He is a former member of the U.S. Judo roster, a former mixed martial arts competitor, a respected local wrestling coach, a black belt in multiple martial arts disciplines, and a certified firearms instructor.
Professor Cherry will impart his unique approach for teaching people with no prior self-defense concepts by delivering a radical approach to encountering and overcoming violence. His methods are grounded in both evidence-based teaching principles and his extensive practical experience.
We cordially invite all mothers, daughters, and sisters to attend our empowering seminar. This event promises to be unlike any other, blending fun and education into an unforgettable experience.

Wrestling
Wrestling is a combat sport that involves grappling with an opponent and striving to obtain a position of advantage through different throws or techniques, within a given ruleset. Wrestling involves different grappling-style techniques, such as clinch fighting, throws and takedowns, pins, and other grappling holds. Many different wrestling techniques have been incorporated into martial arts, combat sports, and military systems.

Wrestling comes in different competitive forms, such as greco-roman, freestyle, folkstyle, catch, and sambo. Wrestling at Bellicose Martial Arts will primarily focus on folkstyle wrestling.

For now, we are offering an open mat format for the classes.
